During the 17th century, coffee houses became ‘the thing’, whereas people had met in ale-houses, taverns. The story of Garraway’s Coffee House started in 1656 when Thomas Garraway became the first man to sell tea in the City. Wool merchants met there to discuss business and the flourishing Australian wool trade.

Garraway’s Cafe Offers sandwiches, fresh garden salads, gourmet pastries, and a hotly brewed outback coffee!

We also have a delicious selection of both large and mini muffins, decadent slices, rich chocolate brownies, lamingtons and traditional scones, with jam and whipped cream to share.
